Internet Service receives the HOGAST Internet Award 2008 along with the Relais & Châteaux Gardena Grödnerhof.
The HOGAST Internet Award, the sector’s Oscar for the best hotel and restaurant websites in Austria, Bavaria and South Tyrol, was awarded on 7 October 2008 during a gala evening at the 14th HOGAST Conference, in Salzburg.
The winning project of the HOGAST Internet Award 2008, www.gardena.it , selected by both the technical jury and network users, was designed by the Internet Service agency for the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Gardena Grödnerhof.
“For us, this award is a great honour and extremely gratifying. We would like to thank and congratulate the Bernardi family for its outstanding cooperation”, stated Markus Rabanser, managing director of the Internet Service agency located in Ortisei (Val Gardena), during the award presentation ceremony attended by 400 invitees at the “Gusswerk”, in Salzburg.
330 businesses from Austria, Bavaria and South Tyrol took part in the competition. A technical jury judged the participating sites based on various objective criteria including page design, ease of use and navigation, as well as the efficiency and speed of the request and booking system.
A voting system was set up so that Internet users could also express their opinion. The points attributed by the public were included in the final overall evaluation.
“This year we were able to compete for this coveted award with some particularly successful projects”, declared the managing director of Internet Service, a leading web agency located in Ortisei (Val Gardena). “Thanks to our expertise and extensive experience, our customers can rely on professionally designed sites that are also highly effective.”
